Losing friends in midllife often stings more sharply than when we were younger. We may not be able to replace the friend we loved, but it is possible to forge new close and meaningful friendships.
I believe I am. Sheryl, I love your newsletter, your writings and insight. Thinking of your family, Mom, my first grade teacher, Dad, high school in the “fishbowl”, sis and of course, you, with such warmth. Looking forward to more you have to say! ❤️
What a beautiful and meaningful article. I have learned to forgive my less-evolved, immature self for allowing important friendships to wane. Thinking of you with love. ❤️🙏

What a lovely surprise, Carla. Thanks for taking the time to write, and write such a heartfelt message at that. You made me smile!
