hmm. I find it so weird that all of a sudden the word menopause is in the main newspapers on a daily basis lately. Or was it there and I didn't notice because it didn't apply to me? Def possible.

As to the reality of menopause and our daily lives. I love it. I love not getting my horrendous, fibroid impacted blood letting every month for a week. I no longer am anemic for the first time in my adulthood! I feel less crazy, too! Love that. I have not gotten fat, yet, but I am new to this, so that might happen. IDK. I kind of love this period (hahah) of life. I know my mother prefers it too. It's weird becoming invisible to younger people, but, I like the ability to sneak around unnoticed...how about you?

I'm a doubter — aging seems more complex than what happens in ovaries. The middle-aged men in my life are aging right along with me even though their hormones aren't shifting as much.

Indeed...it's only part of the story. But the ovaries do hold so many hormones that we sadly lose, which affects our health.

I love your attitude, Kim! So many upsides, yes. Not shunning white pants...not getting catcalls from the construction workers (or others - mixed blessing:-) ; knowing who we are and prioritizing the important things in life. And so much more!

I’m going to have a good think about how I feel about this. Being post menopause now & having had a rollercoaster of a ride it’s good to be able to look at it from a different perspective now.

I know...it's a mind-boggling, and tempting thought, isn't it? But also frightening in a way! And yes, I agree that looking back has its value :)
